Hi Tori and welcome. You are going through a very difficult time and all the feelings you are having are very typical of depression. Remember that depression is a chemical imbalance, not something you can 'cheer up' from! It is real, you have been diagnosed and you are being treated. It is normal not to recognise the feelings you are having. You have come to the right place to talk openly and not be judged. We all understand. Nothing will shock us and we are here to support you. Medication to rectify the imbalance and talking therapies work very well as well as expressing your feelings, even if they don't make sense to you, to others who understand and will not judge. If you feel that despite medication and support you still don't feel right please return to your GP to discuss this. It is very common to change medication and alter dose during the course of depression before exactly the right combination is achieved. Well done for making the important steps you have. I hope you find it helpful to be here. :)
