Hi steve, welcome :)

Much as you hate the idea of going back on meds I would urge you to go to your GP and get back on them if you can, depression is an imbalance of chemicals in your brain so the meds will help restore the balance.

Everyone here will help as much as they are able and wont judge because we understand what its like to suffer with this illness
Certain things catch your eye, but pursue only those that capture your heart.

Hello Steve and welcome. The feelings you are experiencing are confusing, frustrating and difficult. Left untreated they may get worse and you may spiral down out of control. Depression is a chemical imbalance in the brain and antidepressants correct this imbalance just like antibiotics correct infection. What makes you feel you would rather not take medication again?
