Another newbie

I am another newbie. I have suffered from anxiety and depression for some time but apart from a crisis 15 years ago have manged to keep it under control without medication bar chocolate ^&^.  Unfortunately the black dog  ^&* has decided to bite me again big time and I am back under the care of the doctor. Knowing the causes of the depression sadly is not helping

Hi and welcome, have you been offered counselling?  This last time my counsellor has been brilliant and seems to hav helped me find what brings the depression back and givenme ideas how to prevent it

last time I Had CBT which worked well but this time so far nothing. The first time the MH team called me they had no information and I felt like I was telling them almost what treatment to offer. Then letter for first appointment they did not turn up and when saw two weeks later no apology.  Person I saw went thru yet another questionnaire left me feeling more agitated and upset and yet another referral. So seeing two of them on Wednesday maybe something might come out of it

Hi Southglos, welcome,
I have been on and off for years and am on anti d's they have helped but I have been to the doctors as they seem to be losing their effect for some reason. 1 counsellor I had years ago was no help at all but I haven't tried that route again or been offered it.
Hope you get the help you need on Wednesday.

 Â£$£ am now waiting apparently they are going to write to me and suggest CBT with another medication then have to go and see my gp to get it. Seems to be taking forever. One step forward but 2 steps back. Reach a plateau with no hill in sight

waiting seems to goon forever when you want the answers now doesn't it?
Keep going forward. Hope things get better from now on.
