Hey there, I'm new

Hi, I am new to this forum so I thought i'd say hi. I joined because I'm struggling to cope with my day to day life with depression and figured I might find some comfort knowing there might be people on this going through the same thing, that understand how I am feeling unlike those around me. I was diagnosed with depression last summer but i've had it on and off throughout my life..recently though things seem to be spiralling out of control, I can't sleep at night at all, I don't have any motivation to get out and do stuff, or even socialise with any of my friends. I'm quite young and I feel such an outsider, all my friends are partying, going out and having a great time and I feel as though i'm falling behind, being weighed down by the depression.

Your symptoms sound so very familar, in the short time I've been popping in here everyone has been so helpful and it really does help getting it all out in the open with folks that truly understand.
