Can't sleep..Anyone Up ?
« on: June 13, 2011, 02:47:08 AM »
Can't sleep so I'm just logging in to see if anyone's up and about.

I just read somewhere that a member was 'scared' because they could feel the thought of suicide creeping up. I think this is not too bad a thing as I believe that when you're truly suicidal you don't give a &$%+ about it. Kind of  "I couldn't care less about living and feeling comfortable about dying" so to speak. When I felt suicidal I was quite comfortable.

Any one else think this?

Drunk?

I can't remember the last time I had a drink - don't like it being on meds. Can't say I miss it either. That stuff will make you worse man.

I know it makes one worse but mehhhh. Needed a drink.

You're quite right I think. You might talk about committing suicide, in the genuine hope that it will end your pain, but ultimately, it's too scary to do, or you simply might not want to. But when you are so bad that you have already squared with the idea of death, and it doesn't scare you, then that is a bad place to be.

I think there's a difference between actually wanting to kill yourself, and simply wishing you weren't alive, if that makes sense.

I have considered suicide a lot but don't think I could do it. Do you think you could have?

Easy. If it wasn't for a good solid family I would not be posting on here today. Makes me think about and worry about all the single people out there with depression.

I hope you don't think I'm being critical of you for having a drink btw, sometimes a bit of self indulgence/treatment works wonders at times - and I think we all know what works for ourselves best with experience.

Depression a a &$%+ty horrible illness and I've seen some lovely people go down hill big time with booze.
