Libel?
« on: May 31, 2011, 01:06:44 PM »
Hello.  Just signed up here.

I wonder what people think about libel, or what they think is libel, or what they think libel really is, or how it affects people especially if they already have some sort of depression or anxiety symptoms?

I'm not some front-page celeb seeking out a super-injunction!  Forget twitter and all that rubbish, this isn't a twitter matter. I'm just an ordinary guy about whom - well I think it's so - about whom some nasty things have been posted on the 'net.  And with no means of redress.  Call it libel maybe, or call it gross insults maybe.  I haven't yet gone into details.  Is it right to share such stuff?

What happened, had the effect of 'knocking back' my already-existing mental state.  So I felt a lot worse.

Apologies if this is in the 'wrong place'.

If someone is slandering your good name, then if you feel it is libelous then you need to take proper advice, solicitor or maybe even Citizens advice.

If you can excess this information and it is written by colleagues then they are not friends after all.  So seek that proper advice, it is bad enough to keep depression within our hold, without added stress.
Poor is the person who takes pleasure out of the persecution of others
