Like Pip says, try to keep being friendly at a distance 'cos your friend might have stuff going on in his private life that is making life difficult for him to communicate with you?

You're doing the right thing to keep waving to him and being friendly, unfortunately you just need to keep being patient with him and take things slowly.  Don't give up, just keep taking things slowly and at his pace and hopefully he'll start realising that you're there for him and you care.

Definitely!  The waving, smiling and high fives are clues for me, but I don't know your friend so it's just guesswork on my part is all

Hi i did see him today .i was talking to someone else and when i said bye ,their was a group of people. i said bye out loud and my friend said bye as well! i just look over ,and i waved bye and then i was off. and then the bell rang for to go home i was walking to the bus and my teacher just asked me something and my friend my wave to me and he was walking by him. and that was it.why wouldn't he just talk to me for? why is he acting like this for? also first thing in the morning , he look over from the other side of the room and and saw me and went the other way. This was before the saying good bye.

I reckon he just needs a bit of time - he still cares but maybe he had an appointment somewhere or something?  Just keep taking things at his pace and hopefully he'll come over to you and start talking to you soon... take things really slowly and it'll all work out in the end
