Depression and Faith
« on: January 01, 2014, 12:13:33 PM »
I have nothing in the way of religious faith but I am aware that people here do. This press report looks
at a relevant piece of research.

Sometimes the light is shining on me
Other times I can barely see
Lately it occurs to me
What a long, strange, trip it's been

I am a Christian and have been very interested in health and beliefs.  What got my attention was when I was a student nurse and there were a few doctors who said the Christians got better quicker than non Christians which they put down to the patients beliefs.  That was with physical ailments, accidents, operations etc but not with mental health.  Being a Christian hasn't made me stop being depressed and I have had to learn coping skills.
