Cipralex (escitalopram) and seroquel plus pain meds

Hi all,

It's been a while since I've posted here as I've just not been dealing with life so good anyway I have finally been seen by the mental health team and they seem to be taking things seriously now. Up until last week I was diagnosed with depression and OCD or specifically pure o I was told at one point then changed to OCD.

I have now been referred to a psychiatrist who has seen fit to place me on seroquel as well as the cipralex I am already on.

They have been asking about my family history finally and also my mood swings.

Does anyone know anything about seroquel and what it is prescribed for?

My brother who was sadly diagnosed with leukaemia in march and died in may of complications was a manic depressive for over 20 yrs and reportadly suffered as a child too.

Sorry I can't be of any help over your medication.  Sorry about your brother, it's hard when a family member dies.  I have been thinking about you over the months.
