Hello to everyone :)
« on: September 15, 2012, 05:47:39 PM »
I am a 30 year old female, I am married to a wonderful man and have the cutest little (fat) black cat ever! I love books, having chats and drinking coffee.
I have had bouts of depression since I was 17.
Medication and CBT have helped me massively in the past (CBT in particular massively increased the length of my "well" periods and helped me get out of depression a lot quicker).
I've had to have a change of medication fairly recently (Efexor stopped working after taking it for years....) and I seem to be taking ages to climb out of this particular episode. I am starting a new course of CBT on Tuesday.
I am currently off work. My job is a very pressurized professional job and I can't face to go back yet.
I am new to this forum and just hope I can help people and receive support too. * Warm hugs to you all *

Pleased to hear you're getting lovings from your cat... what's his/her name?

I was on Citalopram for years and found it one of the easiest... few side effects and it worked well as an AD.  It does, as you found out, take its time to kick in.

Hope you're doing OK
