Hello there !

Hi everyone my name is mat and after a  long while I have finally decided to join up after looking at the forum for a long time.

I have been suffering from depression now for around 4 years and finally after people at work started noticing issues with me I bit the bullet and went to the doctor and it was if a massive amount of weight was lifted from my shoulders, currently going through cbt now and seeing a therapist once a month,  its life is still not a bed of roses,  still very down most of the time, sad, lonely, lethargic,   but I know its going to take time.

Anyway hope I can get to know a few of you better and maybe help people who are going through the same problems.

Hi Mat, im new on here too my name is Gavin. Im am similar to you in a way. Finally went to see doctor and see a counsellor once a week. Feel like crap most of the time, but always try to be positive!!

You're right, it does take time, but it sounds like you have all the wheels in motion for a speedy recovery.
