do you find face book depressing?

i would like to but each time i set up a proper profile i delete it due to fact i see ppl on there from the past and dont like to dwell on the past and it upsets me sum memories etc. see ppl what they are up to now and what they have achived and compare that to when i was at worse and all time ive wasted
does any one find face book depressing or do some get a lot out of it??

I hate my facebook account, everytime I go on there I see something that upsets me or makes me angry, I'd be so much better off without it.

I used to like Facebook when I first joined back in about 2007.  Online friends and old school friends started joining so it was a good way to stay in touch.  Now, depending on how I feel, I either tolerate it or get down with it.  Partly my own fault as I got sucked into the adoption groups usually because someone would add me and was made admin of a few.  I tend to choose when I read stuff there as I feel like chucking my laptop through the window on a bad day  .  I got 'too well known' in adoption circles for being pro-active with signing petitions, 'sponsoring'  (doesn't cost us anything  =+- financially) petitions as that adds weight to them, helping behind the scenes with marches if asked and so on.  When we 'sponsor' petitions it just means Fassit Forums is added as the sponsor as Fassit Forums and Fassit.co.uk are known within the forced adoptions circle.  It's not that I mind I just sometimes wish I could have a few weeks down time from adoption. kids wrongly put into care and forced adoption.

I agree with Kate, it wasn't good on a bad day.  Although, a couple of school friends did make contact.  At 49, that's quite exciting.

I was bored stupid by 84 friends, most I hardly knew, writing pointless dribble like, "I'm going to shop" then "I'm back from shop" or "I'm eating me dinner"... it drove me crazy, but it became kinda addictive at the same time.  In the end I deleted the account.

You can't beat the depression forum!

just find it reminds me of past too much and new ppl that add u as a friend are wizz at it and just add ppl at will as its a thing adding mass ppl more and more friends even if u dnt know them etc, just dont get it never been good at social stuff so am staying off it 8-)

I don't see the point of it I have 595 friends on facebook and only probably about 10 of them I have actually ever spoken to in person. I see things on there about people I really don't like having a really good life and being really happy and it makes me want to be sick to be quite honest. I don't really care much about what other people are doing in there lives, I know that probably sounds really selfish but oh well xx

Must admit I 'pruned' quite a few people from my friends list as my a/c got hacked so set up a new one.  My current list has about 95 people on it as I don't tend to send friend requests very often and it's much easier to deal with than my previous list was about 1500+.

and jeez, if you try and put something nice that has happened to you, everyone wants to try and knock you down...

Then, you delete those same people, and they have a moan at you...

I actually got stopped in the street a few weeks ago by a "friend" that I hadn't seen or spoke to for years, he had a go at me for removing hime from FB.... eh!?!?!?  %$£ %$£ %$£ %$£ %$£
