the moment down feelings start
« on: June 18, 2012, 10:25:52 AM »
the moment down feelings start, say if u wake up fine and all is well then out of the blue for no reason u strat to feel down feelings coming and know it could lead to full on depression for days or weeks what do u do at that point to help lessen the chances of the down feelings getting worse and turning into full on depression????
the above happens a lot eg out of the blue down feelings come on and it is annoying as when there is a reason say if something has gone wrong can understand it but when out of the blue and knowing if full on depression sets in it could be for weeks it really hard at times.

hi zeemiller
one of the things that you are taught cbt is thought records to try and identify what you were thinking at that time or what you were doing or where you were sometimes these may help to identify why you have gone downhill for no apparent reason it takes a lot of practice but it can help

Today I found myself getting down whenever something irritated me....and that's pretty much nearly everything!

life is full of irritations and its mostly other peoples lack of concideration and there actions which gets to me when can link it to that at least there was a reason for depression but when out of the blue it comes on feel robbed of my good frame of mind and think why why now etc.
