Better in the evenings?
« on: June 10, 2012, 06:59:08 PM »
Does anyone else feel better as the day goes on, and virtually normal in the evening?  This morning I was so down I could barely speak, but now (7 pm) I feel better and bit more part of the human race.  I wonder if there is a biological or psychological explanation for this? Just wondered if anyone had any ideas!  ^&^
It changes

My mornings are always worst but by about 9pm I feel very tired and sometimes the depression gets worse because of the tiredness

Hi SuBee. Yes, this does seem to be the norm in many cases. I also felt very poorly in the mornings, eased up a bit in the afternoon and then in the evenings I was feeling very normal again. Why this happens, I don't know. I dreaded waking up bacause I knew what lay ahead. Just do not stay in bed, because that just makes you feel worse. Get up, wash your face, brush your teeth and sit somewhere else in the house, or even better, outside if the weather allows it.

Subee....I can relate to what you are saying. My depression is always at its worst in the mornings. I think you'll find it is a common symptom.

yes most definetely. I have had this for years. Mornings always seemed worse and by evenings I would feel 'normal'.

Harmful intentions
particularly those involving deliberate acts exploitation, seem to cause longer-lasting and more painful emotional consequences than natural disasters. The crucial factor may be that such experiences destroys people’s trust in others, particularly if they involve someone you have depended on.

Yeah I hate mornings, by far the worst time of day for me.  But as the day goes on I just feel flat.
