« on: June 03, 2012, 05:58:42 PM »
i was feeling terrible most of today, tired, stressed and couldnt cope with anything except my bed, now ive had yet more sleep i feel close to normal, just wish i could feel like this all the time lol
not having that heavyness on my mind is lovely,

anybody got any suggestions for improving sleep in the nighttime instead of during the day?
thanks

Nosorry, but glad to hear you're feeling better :)

Try not sleeping in the day. I know this is much easier said than done as I always need to sleep in the day. You could also try relaxion techniques, look up meditation to help you sleep on google and maybe get some camomile tea to have before bed. I have never actually tried that but have heard it works wonders :)

All I can suggest is maybe have a nap during the day, try and get a good bedtime routine, try and go to bed at the same time, trying calmomile tea (helps me) maybe read in bed - something not to taxing.

I think routine is the key. I really struggled with this but I find even having a very loose routine helps. I take my time with my breakfast and wake up slowly, mornings are my worst so I take mornings quite easy. After lunch I tidy the kitchen, read for a bit, do some excercise or if I'm finding it hard to settle or concentrate I come online and then its time to cook dinner and I haven't resorted to going back to bed. Of course this doesn't always work, and if it doesn't some days then don't beat yourself up about it. As with any illness you do need to rest more, especially when our minds are working overtime.

Xx
This too shall pass.

I agree totally, I need a routine - trouble is if something unexpected happens to throw it out it bothers me badly
