Snow!
« on: February 06, 2012, 07:58:23 AM »
Has everyone been enjoying the snow?

I have... my little puppy loves the snow and I regularly hit her in the face with big lumps of snow... she loves it. It's all a big game to her

The only problem is that yesterday, when we were walking to the fields to let her run around is that I slipped and really jarred my back. It's really really sore at the moment and I don't think sitting at my desk today for work is going to help it much :(

Bloody Snow!
lol

Poor you, hope your back isn't too painful.

My dogs love it too.  I don't though  :(.

My back is pretty bad.
I need to take Luci to the Vet this morning tho. We are trying to get her spayed, but she is still producing milk, and yesterday, she started carrying her ball around like her surrogate puppy.

I don't know if there is anything the vet can give her to suppress these hormones and to stop her producing milk, but we will see what they say.

Not looking forward to driving to the vet :(

We had the same problem with our English Springer Amber, she was producing milk and carrying her fluffy toys about.  The vets gave us some medicine to give her, sorry but can't remember the name of it.  Like Lucci we couldn't get Amber spayed until she had stopped having the phantom pregnancies.  The medicine works great and she is now spayed and has no more problems thank goodness.

Hope you get on ok at the vets, let me know how you get on.

The vet has given her Galastop and that is to dry up all the milk.
It's a 6 day course, so hopefully, Monday will be the big day for her

Thanks Zaf... here is one back for you  &*(

Thats good ally, it worked in a couple of days for Amber, but we had a 6 day course for her too.

Hope Lucci feels better soon  :)

Ally,

I completely sympathise over your back as it's painful when that happens.  My dogs love the snow as well and I do atm as I don't have to go out in it  ;D .  Dh hates it as he is the one walking the dogs - broken bones have an advantage at times -and he comes home moaning.

thanks for the sympathy.... it's really not good when I have to sit at a desk all day!

I have been putting "thingy whats'it" cream on.... more commonly known as voltarol... lol
The reason it's called thingy whats'it now is that my other half couldn't remember what it was called and I never really knew what she was talking about, so I was going through all the normal creams (deep heat, joint ace, ibuleve, savlon, etc) and she started saying thingy whats'it.... so it is now known as thingy whats'it  ;D

Anyway... I woke up this morning and my back is still stiff, so I think I'll go and have a bath in a little while to see if the hot water will ease it any.

Hi Shaz.
She seems to be fine this morning. Her little tummy was looking really swollen last night. I really felt for her.
I've just given her the drops, and she has no problem in taking them.

Fingers crossed she will be ok for her op on Monday!

How are you doing today?
