Okay, okay! Before you vote, hear me out. I know I may sound like one of those crazy LSD damaged hippies who lives in a basement (I'm not, I promise) but there is some pretty solid stuff suggesting there's a chance it's possible.
I dusted off my old Xbox today, and found the video game version of 'The Matrix', which reminded me of an article I had read a while back, saying that it might not be as science fiction as we think it is. So I snooped around on the internet, and there is a staggering amount of people saying things varying from "Yes, we are definitely in a simulation" to "There's a 20% chance we're in a simulation". If you think about it, top scientists and computer experts believe that by 2029, we'll be able to fully upload the human mind onto a computer. We could literally start a new civilization, identical or similar to the one we already have. Now the thing is here - there is literally nothing against the idea that that is what is already occurring to us right now, and you honestly can't fully disprove it. If you've seen the movie 'Inception' (You should if you haven't), it would kind of be like that: a simulation within a simulation. Matriception

.
Think about it, it's not impossible in the slightest.
