Some anti depressants can numb your emotions. Basically the meds are designed to alter chemical imbalances, but in some people this can lead to other 'imbalances'. A person can appear uncharacteristically selfish or appear like a 'zombie' to those who know them well.
If this is the case with her, she will not necessarily have noticed that she is hurting others through her actions. As Lol says she is simply trying to make herself feel better however she can.
Either way, Im certain that her actions are not intended to cause offense or harm to you or the children. Do you talk to her about your worries? A simple chat can sometimes help, just remember to be calm if you do. This disease is so cruel. When you are the sufferer you end up hurting others in one way or another - either by appearing miserable or by doing the wrong things when we feel low. You are not wrong in how you feel, but niether is she. There is nobody to blame and that can be hard.
When im depressed I find I go quiet. When Im on meds i talk more, but I find Im more 'selfish' with my actions. Its all about me for some reason and I feel got at if my wife finds any critisism - even if she puts it REALLY politely! I do listen though, and always try to take on board what she says.
All you can do is be there for her.
I wish you both all the best with your fight against this disease.
