Messed up
« on: December 03, 2011, 08:20:32 PM »
I booked to see one of my favourite bands this week and have been convinced for months that the gig will be Tuesday
My mum is on holiday and I'm due to collect her Monday.
Just found out the gig is Monday and there is no leeway. Gonna have to arrange a cab for her.

Also just found out that the gig I thought was tomorrow is next week!

Why did I make such big mistakes?
I don't trust my self as it is, I usually check and double check, then when I don't I get it all wrong.

Poor you, but please believe me it isnt just you, I nearly went to meet a friend a week early in the summer and recently turned up for my smear test a week late and ad to get all psyched up again when the rearranged appointment was sorted :(

well I guess I should be glad I didn't get my last hospital appt wrong, I was so stressed about that it would have been horrible to go through that again.

I just hope Mum will be ok, she's not the most confident person around, I hope she gets my message about the change too.
I feel awful about it.

Is there any way you can check your mum got the message?

Perhaps give her a small gift as a sorry when she's back too

It's kinda complicated but now things have changed so my sister is going to leave work early to go get her.

I feel so stupid.

I have noticed that over the last couple of months I have been messing up timings of appointments and forgetting other things.

Ive now ended up putting everything on my calendar on my Google account, so it pops up on my phone well in advance!!  :)

why do you all go out to these plases with lots of people about, the stress would do me in.....
Harmful intentions
particularly those involving deliberate acts exploitation, seem to cause longer-lasting and more painful emotional consequences than natural disasters. The crucial factor may be that such experiences destroys people’s trust in others, particularly if they involve someone you have depended on.
