I dont know about any of you but iv always had very vivid and bizzare dreams. I can feel smell and taste in them.
I dream of water, flooding and tidal waves alot. Last night i dreamt that there was a muddy field i had to cross that had electric wires and the only way through the field was to go through the electric wires whilst having my feet on the ground. I ended up in a tower with a grand wooden broken stair case, thick red cable that looked like a vein ran up the walls. And the broken stairway kept threatening to break.
This was only the one i had last night iv had so many bizarre, scary and fantastic ones, but i thought id mention last nights.
So what are everyone elses dreams? Do you have vivid ones?
-
I have lots of weird dreams and I can feel, taste and see everything in very vivid colour.
Next time I have a particularly memorable one I'll let you know!
-
im never really too sure if im dreaming or things are real sometimes, its horrible.
let me assure you as an electrician that if there were live wires in a wet muddy field that it would be perfectly safe to walk through as long as you didnt break the connection between the wires and the ground. its all about potential difference, as long as your at the same voltage as everything your touching then your perfectly safe, ever noticed birds sitting on the live overhead lines, its the same principal. ive even gone to the extent of proveing this to some one by standing on a plastic box and then touching a live wire, your safe as long as theres no potential difference/ return path to earth
-
Thanks Cornish il remember that next time i cross a muddy field full of electrical wires ;D.
I do have waking dreams and im a terrible sleep walker. i think there are people in the room so i speak to them or follow them out of the room. At the time i think its perfectly normal to be speaking to a stranger in my bedroom at god knows what hour in the morning.
At the moment i keep wakign up in a panic and waking my boyfriend because of a translucent cloud. Yeah i know it sounds ridiculous but thats what i see. Of course its only a waking dream but it scares the crap out of me. Last time i literally tried to claw my way out of the headboard.
That hasn't happened for a few weeks thank god. Just weird dreams in general.
Dreamt last night that i was infiltrating a big office to get some information, and there was a big steel lift that went up and down really fast making me nauseous and my stomach go into my mouth. I got found out and was sneaking around so i wouldnt get caught.

Gosh I would be even more tired than I am now if I had those sorts of dreams !!! My mind does play tricks on me though-ugh !! ::)

Besides the horrible nightmares due to medication I've had a weird sequence of related dreams. For a couple of months I kept having dreams where I couldn't speak or scream when needed, I'd usually wake up crying and in a panic. But oddly the last few weeks in these dreams I'm now able to sing and it's beautiful, I wake up smiling *(*

I have quite a few dreams where I cant speak or scream, some that I'm trying to get away from something or someone and I get slower and slower and end up struggling to walk then struggle to crawl to get away, sometimes during a normal type dream I discover I am totally starkers :o (last one I was on a busy railway station!), also when I'm depressed I have what I call 'angry' dreams where I am incandesent with rage about something or someone.
I do also have normal and nice dreams thankfully!

Yeah my dreams where I couldn't speak or scream involved trying to run away from something and not being able to before realising I couldn't speak either. I've had the angry dreams too, this rage just builds and builds. I guess it's from trying to bottle up everything.
I had a dream with horses in the other day, that was a nice change after my medications caused horrible nightmares. The one ripping out my own eyebrows until blood poured down my face has put me off plucking them!

for a long tie now ive been using the sleep talk app for the iphone and a lot of what i say ties into some of what i remember and then theres other stuff thats hilarious and puts a smile on my face in the morning, but theres also some disturbing things that i would rather not know i had said
-
I've always had quite vivid dreams but since being on quetiapine they have got more surreal. I had one the other night about my friend (a guy) who recently had a baby and he was back to being pregnant, him! But instead of having the baby the normal way he had it called the "spiderbaby" way. This is where the baby grows in the neck of the man. It was completely messed up and really freaked me out.
Last night I had one about my cat who I took to Japan with me and he fell off a roof and then a plane exploded in the street. I've been with my cat since I woke up cuddling him lol. ^&^
-
well my dreams are always quite disturbing, i wont go into much detail but i should sell my dreams to horror film writers ha ha :p
-
Its mad isn't it what our minds come up with. I often wake up thinking "what the ffff was that all about"
-
one night i found meself cleaning the windows inside a skyscraper or other large building when the fire alarm goes off. i wasn't worried, i knew the drill... i had to evacuate the patients from the mental health ward (!?!), but naturally we stopped at starbucks on our way out (used to work for 'bucks so that's perfectly normal). as we stood looking at the cakes a good friend of mine joined the que behind me and tried to get my attention, but i ignored her so she scooped the icing off a cinnemon swirl and poked me in the eye with it!
that one still brings a smile to me face whenever i think about it ;D
-
Thats definitely a weird one :D :D :D
-
i dunno whether it was a saw one at the party i was at last night but yeah my dream was strange...
i was walkin aroun some random town or somethin (didnt recognise the place) with a bow and arrows pretending to be robin hood.... killing bankers ha ha
-
not enough arrows in the world mate ;)

not enough arrows in the world mate ;)
ha ha i know!! it was ace tho.... it was like i had arrow view but still.... shouldnt be dreaming about killing people ha ha
-
I can think in my dreams for some reason... Not consciously, the thoughts are part of the dream, but they make it more real
I had a dream last Saturday night that I was sitting on my bathroom floor rocking backwards and forwards and crying because my best friend died..
I remember thinking in the dream "Why did he have to get cancer?" the cancer part wasn't mentioned anywhere else in the dream, only in my dreaming thoughts if that makes sense
The dream in fact only lasted a few seconds but stayed in my mind all day :-\ It made me think what if it actually happened..
-
Getting arrested by what looked like Darth Vader for beating up a body snatcher...thats probably the strangest and most random one i've ever had lol.
I do tend to have some unusual ones though, but cant remember half of them.
-
dreaming that you a wall and there's a locked door with a key in it and thousands of people just walk by look at the key and walk on by. no idea what it means but i need to know what behind the door.
dreaming about a box and open in it to find it contains another box, it never freaking ends.
soo many more that i wont go into now, there disturbing.
-
I think you're recovery is behind the door Cornish. Thousands of people are trying to find the key to it.
Boxes simelar - each time there is the possibility of enlightenment inside, but you can't get to it. Each box may represent another complication. The whole box thing may represent the complexity of your illnesses.
One day you will walk over to the door yourself, turn the key and open the door and walk through it. You will already know what's on the other side. :)
-
I think lol is right, you need to find out what that door and boxes are hiding
I get a fair few dreams where I'm trying to escape from someone or something chasing me that I know is there but I cant see but I'm getting slower and slower and whatever it is gets almost right up to me then I wake up.
Another bizzare one I get frequently is that everything is completely normal one minute then the next I am either topless or completely starkers, usually in a crowded place like a railway station or big open plan office!
-
Both of these are anxiety dreams and are very common.
Best dream I ever had was this:
Big family dinner at a very posh restaurant. Loads of us around a round table. I'm sitting next to my Grandad and the waiter comes over and Grandad orders the mousse, but when it comes it's a Moose!!! Grandad calls the waiter back and says "Excuse me, I notice that the gentleman behind me has also had the moose but his looks much more succulant than mine" (Grandad would never talk this way), the waiter says "I'm sorry sir, but its the cut of the moose", Grandad says "I'm not happy with mine, it looks dry", the waiter apologises again and takes it away. At this moment a journalist leaps out from behind a curtain producing a copy of tomorrows news paper, and on the front page is a picture of grandad and his dinner with the headlines 'Restauranteur, loose with moose juice!'
Hahahahahaha!!!!!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D I woke up laughing!

Omg :D :D :D :D

my dreams are right out of "great expectations" all grey and cold and horrid, it's freaky, the grey is very grey and the cold is very cold and damp.

Been having some really strange dreams of late and I am not even on medication....is that normal?
Strange things include hamsters in windows (like when u go to the zoo), they were my hamsters but I wasn't really allowed them and my mum would have gone mad if she'd found them. They were breeding so had lots of baby hamsters too this time in a glass tank with the mothers, this tank was on the roof of one of the windows (they were like small bay windows) and the tank fell due to my step dad making it fall, I was angry at him for that. Then my dream whizzed off to being at school/college and was late for class and had to try to catch up with everyone else. Other things happened but cant remember the rest was really random though......my dreams are entertainment for some of my friends when I tell them what happened. Not normally nightmares, just really odd.
Not sure what would come up if this was analysed lol x
-
Since my mum died I've had regular dreams about her. In the dreams we get on really well which is what makes them strange dreams for me. We never had a good relationship although we did try during the last few years but even then it was strained at best.
-
I never see faces I just know who they are.
-
I have all sorts of dreams, Some i can control and look forward to going to. Others are things that come and then pass and some are really quite odd.
the weirdest ones seem to be doctor who related. Though i havent go David tennant into bed yet ;D
one i do remember even now. was the weirdesy yet, So weird that i asked a friend at work if i was still alseep. and she slapped me and said Nope you are awake.
For some reason i was boating, or punting across the river with a load of posh people all dressed up in victorian wear. I however was wearing jeans and tshirt and thought it was odd. Richard E grant was there holding up a walking stick. and handed it to me saying. If you look into the handle you can see right into your past.
Next minute i am in my own village sitting on a wall and there is a carnival going on. In the distance i see someone waving at me. They come up to me and its me! wearing victorian clothes like everyone else. She (I) say , oh you are in the wrong dream you better wake up.
and i did. weird

I have very strange dreams. A lot of them recently have been very dark and sinister - but on Tuesaday night I had a fantastic dream!!
Me and Chris were in our lounge at about 2am and I was aware that I could see the moon quite brightly through the glass in our front door - it took me a little while longer to realise that it had rings around it! We opened the front door and Saturn (yes, as in the planet!) was very very low - like, almost in our little cul-de-sac! We ran up to our landing window to try and see it from above, but we couldnt, so went back down to the front door and it was still there but all of the rings were gone (and the rings I remember thinking, were so beautiful) . Then, there were all these strange lights in the sky around us and the electricity wires started crackiling! THEN this, almost like SWAT van came speeding round the corner and told us all to evacuate our houses - so we got the dog in the car and drove down the road where the car, the dog and us were all 'de-contaminated' in what seemed like a big car wash. I remember everyone else seemed really sad but I was very calm - all I kept thinking was all this time I've been fascinated by the end of the world, I nver really prepared for it.
And that was pretty much it - oh, apart from returning home to find that everything was normal apart from the fact that some of the tarmac outside had been ripped up by some mischevious (and very strong) cats!

Had vivid, realistic dreams and nightmares for as long as I can remember now and they tend to follow the same themes but the worst one ever was only around 2 months ago...in the past I was in a violent and abusive relationship and in the dream I was fighting with him and he had totally pinned me down to the ground so I couldn't move my arm or legs (this happened frequently in real life) and so in a panic to get him off me I bit him...I was woken up by my husband screaming 'you've just bitten me what the f&%k'. I had in real life bitten my husband and honestly had no idea as I knew I was doing it in the dream but no intention to do this in real life especially not to the husband I love so dearly. Epic fail!!!
