Steve, FFS, is my carer but...

Steve is my carer.

It's on his records and mine.

I'm not Steve's carer, yet I do everything for him.

I walk Mitzi, clear up her poo, feed and water her.
I answer the door every time someone comes.
I answer the phone and take messages for him.
I proof-read his CV and find job adverts for him.
I take the shopping into the kitchen while Marie puts it away every Monday.
I take the rubbish and recycling out every Sunday/Monday

Steve just sits on the sofa, while I'm relegated to the pouffe, watching the TV that he has the remotes for 24/7/365 but I'm not his carer.

I haven't seen my mum for 6 years and don't have any local friends but Steve sees his family at least once a week and has done for the last decade and a half.

Am I the only one who doesn't think that's very fair?

I thought I had responded to you but I have had the week from hell and it can't get any worse so obviously my head isn't where it should have been.

If I was in your position I would go on strike

I'd love to go on strike but if I did, literally nothing would get done and Marie (my SIL) would blame me again
