Music to lift your mood
« on: October 01, 2014, 09:32:00 PM »
Hi Dudes! While waiting for correct Meds for Bipolar,I'm working on my own form of CBT. I love music and am going to surround myself with the tunes I love. For me it's The Beatles,The Clash,The Pogues. Also love Sinatra Presley and growing increasingly fond of classical. My top ten of happy tunes are:-
1) Hey Jude
2) White Man in Hammersmith Palais
3) Instant Karms
4) Sally Maclenanne
5) Do you believe in magic-Loving Spoonful
6) Gentle on my mind-Dean Martin
7) Bankrobber-The Clash
8) Oh Oh I love her so-Ramones
9)Crazy in Love-Beyonce
10) Roam-B52's

I love all types of music although I have my favourite artists.  Depending on my mood depends on what I listen to.  It does help though and will come back to this thread to list a few of my favourites  :happy0158:

Thought I'd add my top 12, I like lists. I use a site a bit like Spotify except it is free. It is www.grooveshark.com. Type in a band name and it will produce a list of up to 200 tracks by them and play them one by one. I think all these are on it.

Velvet Underground    Heroin
Glen Frey             Smugglers Blues
Radiohead          No Surprises
Chemical Brothers       Golden Path
The Verve          The Drugs Don't Work
Love             Alone Again Or
Nico                Janitor of Lunacy
Coldplay             Fix You
Jefferson Airplane       White Rabbit
Rolling Stones          Sympathy for the Devil
Penguin Cafe Orchestra   Perpetuum Mobile
Pogues             Fairy Tale of New York
Sometimes the light is shining on me
Other times I can barely see
Lately it occurs to me
What a long, strange, trip it's been
