In the last 7 days...
« on: April 16, 2019, 07:05:00 PM »
In the last week I've gained 1 certificate and 2 diplomas and just been persuaded by my spending addiction/their automated marketing tool to sign up for another 2 diplomas that I'll start tomorrow which will really help my mood and keep my mind ticking over.

The first course is a Pet Psychology diploma and the second is a Canine Communication diploma so hopefully I'll have another couple of diploma's under my belt by the weekend and I'll be able to use what I learn on the pup  :happy0064: lol

I can so do this as long as I keep a note of all the statistics in both courses so that I don't fail 3 times like I did on the SEND diploma that I just scraped through this morning (you had to get a minimum of 71% in the final test to pass the course and get the diploma and I got 71% this morning after a 70%, 68% and 60% in that order last night).  I need to remember not to revise any of the course, sleep between finishing the course and taking the test and go with my gut instinct rather than thinking over which answer it could be, like I was doing last night.

Thank you Pip.  Up to module 14 out of 25 and there have already been 4 assessments.  Not gonna rush it... it's just motivating myself to get started first thing that I'm finding the hardest and as long as I don't do any level 4 courses I'll hopefully pass each course first time too!

Just bought another 3 courses for £60 instead of very nearly £900 and 2 of 'em were on my list of courses that I want to take too, which is even better!  They are certificate courses so will, in theory, be done and dusted in a day.

There are 5 courses that I've paid to take so it will hopefully keep me out of trouble until the end of the month lol.  Not going to pay for any more until I've finished those 5 though lol.

Just got 9 modules and an end of course assessment to do then I'll have my pet psychology diploma under my belt and I can make a start on the canine communication diploma then I can move onto todays 3 certificates!

It keeps me out of trouble lol

Just finished studying the course but gonna wait until Steve gets home from his nursey appointment before I take the test, just in case someone comes to the door or the phone goes or even both at the same time, like yesterday lol

Assuming I pass the course, I'll make a start on the canine communication diploma which I'll hopefully finish by Saturday then I'll take that test and have another diploma under my belt.  After that there are todays 3 certificates which will, in theory, only take a day each to study so that'll be Thursday that I take the final final test 'cos Sunday and Monday are unstudyable days 'cos we're going to see Steve's family yet again, even though I haven't seen my mum for 9 years this coming August!!  In an average week he see's his family more in 5 days than I've seen my mum since 2010... hardly fair, is it?!   :'(

Good on you for doing these courses.

I agree with you over not seeing your mum for nine years it isn't fair.  Having gone through so much with my family I have regrets that I didn't see my mum before she died.  It probably would have given me closure over her spiteful behaviour towards me.  I know your situation is completely different but it worries me when someone is in your position and something happens to your mum and you lose all those chances to see her.

Before my mother-in-law died we always saw her on a Tuesday as we took her shopping then she would come back for a meal.  Sometimes her best friend would join us well as we got on with her.   Rick's siblings weren't so good about seeing their mum for a variety of reasons until we found out she was dying. At times I got a bit fed up of seeing so much of her but I don't regret it now.

Safeguarding Children is today's course   :D

I'm desperate to see my mum again 'cos she's not getting any younger (75 in June) and I don't want to see her for the last time at her funeral!  That's why I'm saving up for a car for Steve - so that we can go over and see her again!  Steve sees his sister every Monday and his dad every Friday, his mum every 6 weeks when we get our hair cut as well as every Easter and Christmas.  I can count the number of times I've seen my mum since 2009 on one hand and still have two fingers left over (saw her at the start of 2010, at my dad's funeral and the last time was in August when we took the pup over to see her).  Nothing since then   :'(

It keeps my mind busy and I've just (as in the last 10 minutes) been able to put the pet psychology course to good use outside of the course!

Gotta find other free courses to do 'cos I can't afford to pay for any of the paid-for ones I want to do atm  :(
