Title: Run Away
Post by: beautydylan on March 14, 2015, 11:26:43 PM
I wrote this fairly recently during an anxiety attack:

I wish I could just run away
Far away from myself
Run away and never return
Escape from the confusion

I wish I could get away
Into a parallell universe
Where I'd be truly happy
Doing what I want

I wish I could run away
Back to where I came from
I don't belong here
I don't belong anywhere

I wish I had somewhere
To run away to, not from
I don't know where I'm going
Nor why I want to run away

Thanks for your comment Pip :)

I got told on a writing forum to lose most of the words in the poem, do you think it's too long?

Just jumping in here... sorry!

Do you think it needs to be shorter, beautydylan?  It's your poem and if you think it's the right length then leave it as it is!   :happy0158:

Please don't take any notice of the members on that forum.  It's perfect as it is.
