Title: scratched dvd / cd?

use a little tooth paste (not the gel sort) and a soft cloth (one of them microfiber ones is good), and in a soft gentle circular motion rub over the scratch. this will clean out minor scratches, and mat help with a deeper scratch

It's amazing how things like that are effective for repair work.

Thanks Stewart, I have a CD in my car that jumps as its scratched, I will give your tip a try.

just lay the disk of a soft cloth on a flat top, like the kitchen bench
