Hi there. I am from Berkshire, England. Been having depression, or at least taking medication for it, for 5 years now. That first year was probably the worst of my life, I never knew it was possible to feel as bad as I did, enduring constant suffering and feeling that being alive is nothing but pain, but somehow I made it through the longest and hardest stretches. These days thankfully my very bad times are only in little patches, I don't feel rock bottom constantly, so I can cope. I think talking to people on a forum like this will make me feel better, while at the same time I hope to help people since I know what it's like from experience and I like to read up about the mind and depression.

Hi Tom, glad to hear you have got through through the longest and hardest stretches, and that your bad times are few.
beating the big D is indeed a hard thing to do
-
hello there, nice to meet you :D

Thanks guys. Yeah it's sure hard to beat, but I know it's possible since I've bounced back momentarily a few times, people should always know that you can come back no matter how low you are, there's always hope.

Hello Tom. Sorry I'm a bit late. (The story of my life!) This is a great, safe place to share what you've been, what you've learned and what you hope. The people here are supportive and understanding, which has helped me greatly. Best wishes. Michael.
