Title: does smoking heighten anxiety?
Post by: mrmoody on April 07, 2012, 05:55:23 PM
I smoke and I know I shouldnt but I get racing heart sometimes after smoking. I started 4 months ago when me and my ex split up and I was very stressed. I keep saying I will quit again when the worst is over. Maybe I should now if its making my anxiety worse

Yes mate. Good idea. Smoking can stimulate adrenaline. It wont be helping your stress levels by anymeans.

quitting sounds like a grand idea (but I'm biased as my mum passed away from lung cancer).

It's great that your anxiety levels seem lower today  :)
