That's good advice and something I wouldn't have thought to check. I went through a few years of binge drinking in my 20s after my son was adopted as a way of 'coping' and 'blocking' anything baby related. Only my parents were concerned I had a 'drink problem' they also knew I could go through months of not drinking or only have the occasionally then go through a week or so of drinking. They didn't understand and I never spoke to them why I would drink too much - I functioned perfectly well with work and a social life so nobody suspected anything. When I got married it was easy to not binge drink and had a healthier attitude as he knew about my son so we talked when I needed as I didn't even feel the need to drink excessively. The older I've got the less tolerance I have for drinking alcohol. At the moment I can't drink it anyway due to taking morphine yet it doesn't bother me.
