Panic attacks - In the shadows - 10-04-2026 I don't really know where to start so here is as good as anywhere. When I was young I suffered with crippling shyness to the extent that my parents would invite children I knew from school to play with me. Fortunately I had a few board games so that made it easier to start talking to other children. My safe place was writing as I had a vivid imagination which was the start of having panic attacks as a friend found a book I was writing in. She was surprised I snatched the book away and was flustered but shyness stopped me from explaining. RE: Panic attacks - Pip - 10-04-2026 Panic attacks aren't something I have suffered with much but it is still awful going through them

I'm so sorry you went and are still going through this. The shyness can be awful (understatement of the millennium) but you aren't alone 'cos I've been shy all my life too. I've also been diagnosed with panic attacks so I feel that bit too and I'm with you every step of the way. You've done the right thing by reaching out and I hope that being able to let it all out somewhere safe will help you to feel supported and understood. |
