Hey there
I am Mozma (not my real name, I don't want to disclose that just yet, sorry!) and I am 22. I recently got diagnosed with depression this week and I am really finding it tough. I have mainly come here for support at this time, and in future to support other people.
I hope to make some online buddies as well, that would be good :)
I don't have any friends in the 'real world' and all my friends are online. I live with my parents, who up until recently got very angry and frustrated. They now have come to understand why I feel this way (well to some degree any ways). 
I hope to speak to some of you soon

You should get plenty of support here and helping others really isn't that hard and for me it makes me feel a bit better, but just do what your comfortable with.

Were all nice people so I'm sure you'll make friends.

I have been ill for about 2 months and kept putting off going to the doctors. Something hurt me so much one night and my parents told me to go to the doctors, so I did. I was surprised at how calm and nice they were about it. I was something I didn't want to admit, I think.

As Cornish said, not a lot of us use our real names - just do what you are comfortable with.

In my case I didnt realise what was wrong with me till it was diagnosed as clinical depression, Its good you've gone to the doctor and can start getting help towards feeling better

To be honest, I didn't know what was wrong until my parents told me to go. Last night was horrible, all I wanted was whatever to be in my head too be out!
Its a horrible feeling knowing your ill but there is not much you can do (well with the feelings)
The only thing getting me through at the moment is my games machine. I am a gamer (don't judge lol!) and the people on there don't know but are helping me

There is quite a lot you can do mozma, one important thing is to get plenty of rest, I guess you are on medication?  I found counselling very helpful, but not sure if everyone does.

Going to the doctor was a very important first step to feeling better, do you have another appointment soon?

Rest is very important as is learning what is a trigger for you (Its taken me over a year, but i've found tiredness and uncertainty effect me massively!) It sounds good that your parents encouraged you to go to your doctors - at least you aren't facing a family who dont see anything wrong with you - or at least recognise you need professional help  :)

In all the time I've been speaking to you munch I didn't realise you was a gamer,  I used to be a bit of a gamer, might have to start again.  What do you guys play, might be good for us to get a regular thing going.

Haha well... I couldn't live with Chris and not be a gamer  Mostly things on the xbox, COD, Left 4 Dead, that type of thing... Although I grew up with Sonic - not of this Mega Drive rubbish, Master System all the way  />.

Xbox for the win! Forgive me if I have got this completely wrong Munchroom, but you say this Chris, does he play xbox and is in a clan?

I play on the xbox mainly. I am in a clan and play fun yet slightly competive gaming for call of duty. I have given it up for the season that is just about to start as I am not enjoying clan gaming. I would rather spend time on with friends and not have to worry about all that buisness.
Currently I am playing Shadow of the Damned, which is a brilliant game! Defintaly worth a rent as its quite short

Chris is my other half... he's quite a geek, in a cool way  He recently ordered himself and his brother t-shirts... his brothers said 'Ok guys, lets do this...' on the front and '....at least I have chicken' on the back and Chris' says 'All your base are belong to us!!!!1!' with a picture of the guy and something equally as nerdy on the back - although I can't remember what   

I don't think he's in a 'clan' he just goes on and joins online games... when he's playing online with his brother they get very silly and go round 'teabagging' the opposition (You wouldn't think this was a 26 year old guy would you?!) Although... we did have to hide COD for a while, he was getting really really competitive  He's usually quite chilled out and laid back, but the language that was coming out of his mouth! I felt like his mother...

i haven't touched my xbox for about a year now, might have to turn it on again soon,

my gamer tag is fight_the_fudge, cant remember what it used to be but i changed it to that when i was drunk and singing the cheryl cole song, fight for this love and well i dunno how it ended up as fudge but umm well i like fudge :)

i used to be really competitive, years ago when i was still at school, hmm seems like a long time ago now   i used to play counter strike source on the pc in one of the top clans in the country, i was a tactical genius, my thinking was if my team and i didn't have a clue what we were doing then how the f**k would the other team be able to predict

I have to be honest, my xbox is the only thing that is keeping me sane at the moment!
Munchroom, sorry its just I know a chris that plays xbox in a clan that has a very simular username to yours. I don't know why I put 2 and 2 together!

I do need a couple new games actually. I forgot to post my two back today so it won't be till Monday I get them!
I am really tempted to start up a gaming thread now
