Question for health/fitness bods
« on: July 23, 2025, 03:19:53 PM »
I'm after some exercises I can do, ideally in bed at the end of the day, that will get rid of my belly and thighs but will NOT make me lose weight.

I did sit-ups and planks in 2020/2021 but I lost 2kg every week, which was, I think, medically appropriate for me at the time, but I don't want to lose any more weight, just get rid of my wobbly bits.

I think I remember someone saying that I'd lose weight before I put on muscle which is heavier than fat, but I can't lose 2kg without getting underweight.

Also, I'm back down to the clothes size I want to be now (size 10) but my head is still seeing a belly on me... any ideas on how I can see the reality rather than something that isn't that big any more please?

I haven't got an eating disorder I just need to find a way to get rid of the flab and re-program my head to be reality rather than what my eyes think they're seeing.

Can anyone help me please?

TIA

Sorry I haven't been up to reading much lately and actually we've started doing exercises to help with our mobility.  We're fortunate that we have a Move Hub at one of our local council run leisure centres.  I am trying to find out a good site (preferably with pictures to help) but it's worth having a look at this one for starters https://www.webmd.com/fitness-exercise/top-exercises-belly-fat

Sorry you haven't felt too good recently, but thank you for taking the time to find the page for me.  It looks like I'm already doing what needs to be done as long as my weight is high enough (which it hasn't been this week) and goes along with the nurse's suggestion - walking.  I've been doing it around the downstairs of my house to keep my heart healthy but didn't realise that it helped with belly fat too!
