:arms: if you want it?

You're right about it being the depression that's making you feel this way but you're doing more than a lot of people to raise money for Diabetes UK!

Thank you  :happy0158:  and as Rick hasn't done any swimming and it was his idea to be part of this event I should be proud of myself.  I'm determined to keep up with it as it's a purpose to concentrate on and helping myself to feel fitter as well as raising money.

Does Rick have depression too?  Maybe make it into a gentle competition between you and reward yourselves every time you both go swimming?  Not necessarily a big treat, but something for you both to look forward to when you get home from the swimming?

I've tried different tactics but nothing works so now I simply tell Rick I'm going into the pool and set targets for myself.  At the end of the day he is letting himself down and I am proud of myself for sticking at it.

That's awesome Pip... I'm lucky if I make it one width so I'm especially proud of you for doing so many miles!

Almost to the fifth mile which isn't bad considering I've been ill, busy with work and trying to win the battle of getting home straight.  It's hard work at times with a happy staffy who like playing tug of war with a lurcher puppy who won't be beaten into submission and a 9 week old puppy who likes playing with the other two or is my shadow.   We must be mad having a boisterous staffy and two puppies and I'm getting too old for these games :confused0062: .

I like your new avatar, you have a very cute pup.

So unbelievably proud of you, Pip!  You can soooo do this!

Your three dogs must keep you busy... never come into contact with a Staffy or a Lurcher before, but it sounds like they are full of energy.  Walking them every day must wear you out... just a small senior Westie (that's her in the photo) is enough for us, so having that trippled must leave you totally exhausted every day!
