Brain fog and anti depressants
« on: October 17, 2018, 04:09:42 PM »
Hi All, I recently came off my Citalopram as I felt able to and it caused me brain fog. Going forward I may need to restart but I want to be able to suggest something else to my GP. Does anyone have any advice around a med that won't cause me brain fog? Thanks in advance. X

I came off Citalopram back in March because the new recipe had an allergen in it so I'm following this with interest.

I've never taken it so don't know if brain fog is caused by it, but I'm tempted by St. John's Wort... might be worth doing some research into it and asking your GP for a trial of it?

Hi Amanda,  I have just ordered some htp5 as a psychiatric nurse friend told me several of her clients had tried it with some success. I will let you how it goes. X
