Hello everyone.

Having been introduced to this forum a while ago, I'm finally going to make my first post here!

I'm Fergus and I live near Bristol. I took early retirement last summer and am getting used to my new found freedom.

I've suffered from anxiety most of my life and also from mild but persistent depression.

I look forward to getting to know the folks here :-).

Have a peek in the anxiety bit whenever you're ready and you'll be surrounded by others who truly understand!  There's also a religion bit too that might help as well?   :happy0158:

Hi Furgus, and welcome to the forums
we are a friendly bunch here, and there will always be someone to fooer advice.
it is unfortunate that anxiety and depression tend to go hand in hand.

are you on any medication at all?

Thank you.

I'm not on medication and not been offered it but I've received a lot of psychotherapy which has helped but not really solved the problem. It seems to be a case of "management" rather than "healing" but that is better than nothing.
