Fallen Apart
« on: March 07, 2013, 10:32:18 PM »
I feel like my world has fallen apart ... I was so happy and really felt ok and back on track until everything dissappeared.

Another heartbreak - used and treated like dirt by yet another guy who I really thought loved me!

I don't know what to do anymore. I don't know who to talk to so i've come back here.

I'm so sad and feel so low. I can feel it dragging me down and I can't bare the thought of going back there .......

Don't know if anything I can say will help, but hang in there.

it might seem bleak right now, and it's ok to feel upset.

Is there anything anyone can do help?

Best wishes.

stay in touch with people who understand, try not to be completely isolated, emotions & feelings have passed before & will pass again,it's not easy, remember you are not alone.

It might help to write it all down maybe? Perhaps in a journal? Or even in this thread.  We're all able to relate.

I've tried to write things but I get part way through and end up deleting it. I used to keep a hand written diary where I would write about my good and bad days. Maybe I should start that again?

Yes, it might be useful.  it doesn't matter what you write, just write it down, even if it seems clumsy. We're not here to judge your prose. If you're worried about sharing your feelings publicly you could always keep a private journal; or share with one person you feel you can trust, if you can.

Hope this helps, somehow.

Hi Els, sorry to hear you have had a bad time with past relationships, not all guys out there are the same.
writing things down can be a help to many people, and let you look back over the week or month to see how things may change

Hi Els... Sorry to hear you're not having a good time.  Affairs of the heart are never easy. It sounds like the guy totally disappointed you

Unfortunately, when we have dealt with depression in the past, there is always the risk of something triggering it off again.  However, the determination to not allow this situation to completely consume you, will go a long way.  You might be hurt and angry and feel deflated for a while, but hopefully you will soon be able to see past it

Keeping a journal is a good way to analyse our situation and also vent a little steam.  Many people keep a Journal here on the Forum.  It can help to hear other people's views.

Hi everyone, thank you all for your kind messages of support it really does mean a lot. I'm still feeling very low and sad but I'm trying to make some short term plans to hopefully give me some focus. I think I will do the journal at some point - I just need to find somewhere to start..

Sorry to hear you're still feeling low.  Hope you start to feel a bit better soon.  I've found that with a journal it just kind of flows out once I start, like a stream of consciousness. start with whatever is on your mind, and take it from there.  :)

Els... making short term plans is a good idea.  Sometimes the best place to start a journal  in the here and now.  It'll come when the time's right, eh?
