uplifting decoration in a room etc

as when real bad and depressed end up in bed for days etc was talking to a friend the other day and they said about having my bedroom more up lifting eg brighter decoration and pictures of possative nature so even when stuck in there would be uplifting images to focus on getting out of full on depression etc. do many ppl have uplifting rooms eg and decoration does it help????

Yes definitely zee, I have a huge wall hanging with the tree of life in mine and crystals hanging in the window

I also have crystals hanging in our bedroom window. The sun shining through them onto the walls is lovely. S x x x x

is yellow walls a good idea as its bright or bit tooo much etc???

It would depend on the yellow I think, a very bright one would be very tiring to your eyes I think especially in electric light

I agree I think more mellow colours are relaxing. They can still be colourful. Maybe a different shade on each wall. S x x x x

me too kate... and clean.  I cannot go out without making the bed as it depresses the hell outa me on return

This is a good question.
The start of my depression this year seemed to have coincided with when we painted a wall in our bedroom purple... Just a coincidence?
It is a nice warm purple, and only 1 wall out of 3 are purple. We are yet to get around to finding nice pictures for the walls...
