Fluid retention on mirtazapine?
« on: September 24, 2013, 01:21:01 AM »
Hi, is anyone else suffering with fluid retention whilst on mirtazapine?  I know it increases your appetite which I have noticed but my weight gain seems huge and I seem to b blowing up like a balloon and not peeing as much?
Oh doesn't help that I've just got off a 10 hour flight and I have lost my ankles totally!!  :-\ :-\

I have never taken it so sorry I can't answer you on that.  Have you seen your doctor about it?

The long flight won't have helped though.

Thanks pip, I actually made the difficult decision to stop taking it whilst on holiday.
Over a month in I do feel I am doing ok but still need to be discharged from the mental health team before I can access cbt.  Appmt with psych this Thursday and am really hoping they will discharge me!  :-X
