Hello

Please let me explain  briefly my story so far  I thought I had it all  a family  I loved  very very  much a nice house  a well paid job  then  suddenly my world came tumbling down all a round me, I had a break down and spent a weeks in hospital my then wife was not what you could call very  supportive at all and  may be she found it  just to difficult  to cope with so did the children. I suppose that’s why they did not want to keep in touch . While I was in hospital she was at the divorce lawyers   planning the next move  I also lost my job all this happened within 2 months as you can image I was a complete mess I was under the care of  mental health team  and counselling from MIND,  I lived a lone in a flat I then came up with idea of driving a truck for a living so I took a week’s driving course  for my class 2  passed first time but driving the artic was a bit more of a challenge I took me 2 attempts  to pass the test.  I then moved to Norfolk and started out as a owner driver hauling the 40ft containers from the ports to customers up and down the country  from Cornwall to Scotland some of the country lanes I had to drive down  even now looking back gives me the shivers down my spine, I could tell you stories but that’s for a another day anyway I stopped doing this and I thought I would move back to London and try it pick my life where I left off professionally speaking I successfully secured a job back in construction I did this for about 6 weeks and realised that I could non longer take the pressure.

At the moment I sometimes take the dog and walk in the park where we once walked as a family may be hoping to catch a glimpse of any the family members from a safe distance I also  love taking the dog to Kenwood and walking  on the heath some how I feel at peace here.

You may be asking yourself why I am writing this well the truth is I have run out of ides of what do next and looking for idea’s  I must admit I am not very well at the moment and just find life just to hard to bear sometimes well think positive so any idea’s?

All the best Bilko

Hi and welcome, have you thought about writing lists ~ one for the pros and cons of living in London and one for Norfolk?

I am a bit biased as I lived in Norfolk years ago and loved the slower pace of life there compared to Essex as I lived near London and have worked in London.

Think Pips suggestion is a good idea. I am biased as well as I live in Suffolk and have lived in Norfolk as well. Just love it in both places. I have lived in London as well and hated it lol. S x x x x

Yes, I'm a scot now living in london for about 15yrs. I'm half way through negotiations to return to Scotland, whether I actually do, remains to be seen.  It could swing either way; perhaps making that decission while in a depressed state isn't such a good idea.  On the other hand, it could well be what helps you recover.

Good luck Bilko
