I was on fluoxitine for a few months. I didn't like the side effects, very dry mouth for a couple of weeks but that went. Worst was hot flushing, far worse than any i suffered in menopause. Remember going to cinema once and havibg to shower when I got home as was drenched throgh.BUT the good effects did outweigh the bad and if it dosn't suit you can allways ask for a change.

I hope the side effects settle down for you. They do more often than not. As people have said a couple of weeks is usually given as the time it takes for an effect to kick in. But Fluoxetine has a bit of a reputation for sometimes taking longer than that.
