Really fed up

I seem to have become really highly strung and snapping over everything.  Plus I've got no money, no future, things are just passing me by, and a horrible feeling of hopelessness.  After having a bit of a peak in my mood last week that has all but gone.  I can't keep still either.  I hate depression, I hate how it has ruled my life like a vine that slowly strangles a tree to death.  Why does the brain do this to itself?
