Hi

It could have been a panic attack.

How do you feel now?  If you still feel like you want to end it, I would be tempted to speak to your GP as it is one of the warnings with Fluoxetine.

I agree it could be a panic attack. Feeling suicidal seems to be a side effect of lots of AD medication, which seems stupid to me, we take them to feel better, not worse

I think you need to contact your GP fairly urgently too, some antidepressents can make us feel suicidal for some reason

Most anti-depressants can make you feel worse before you feel better.  But if you feel this way again I suggest you go to your dr.  Even if you have been on the meds for only a week I would not advise that you suddenly stop them as you could have adverse side effects.

You need to speak to your GP before coming off any anti depressant quickly. I had to do it overnight, GP told me to and it wasn't good at all.

Sounds like a good plan, but if you have any more suicidal thoughts I would go before.

I would too, my GP always stressed to me when I went on a new course of meds to go back immediately if I had suicidal thoughts

You need to voice your fears of side effects to your doctor

I agree you need to make your dr aware of how you feel about possible side effects of upping the doseage.
