I try and do the same as Zaf, just give in to it and rest.

I've started building a boat  :)

Not a full size boat, just making it from used wooden tea and coffee stirrers
Actually, I am going to load it up with lego pirates and (hopefully) make a bit of a stop-motion animation with them

I'll post photos when it is closer to completion

It is taking a long time, but it takes my mind off things

I would love to do a bit more reading, but for ages now I've found it completely impossible to do because my mind starts wandering and all sorts of things keep popping into my mind.  It's probably not as bad now as it was a couple of years ago when I seemed to be suffering quite badly with a PTSD type thing and kept getting flashbacks, especially when I was trying to read a book .. I remember it got so bad at one time I was trying to concentrate on reading, and all I could picture was ex b/f keep coming at me in a drunken rage, I just started shouting at my book "go away, go away!"  Fortunately there was no-one else around to see me and my little outburst, they would've wondered what on earth was wrong with me  :-\

Am going to start on a bit of decorating/painting instead .. well, I've done the sanding down (the woodwork) in readiness .. hoping to put a bit of undercoat on today  :)

I used to disappear into my own little world and play xbox but that has lost its appeal now , just tend to stare at the TV until I fall asleep on the sofa then wake up at 4am with a bad back. I think rest and sleeping are your best bet

my advice don't watch rubbish on tv (especially all that day time tv &$%+) instead catch up on soaps, dramas, buy a boxset of your favourite drama. I find a night in with hollyoaks, the lying game, eastenders and home and away always does the trick. But no antiques road show, flog it and bargain hunt. I would rather sleep all day then watch that crap.
keep try to succeed in life and stop thinking negatively.
Keep strong and carry on!
No I won't give up, not I won't break down and I will be strong.
I miss you nana RIP sweetheart nana

i find i need things to distract me at present, especially in the evenings, so, i do a bit of craft work, at the moment its paper crafting. Just a couple of ink pads, and a couple of rubber stamps - it really doesn't matter if theres a perfect end result, because out of imperfection comes along an idea for another experiment. Start with small pieces - artist trading card sizes are the best (3 1/2 inches by 4 1/2 in) and see how you get on - there is no right or wrong in creation :)
