Title: Changing medication

I have been taking fluoxetine for 6 months and recently increased the dose since then I have found the side effects much worse mainly waking up several times a night to go to the toilet making me tired all the time. I discussed changing meds with my doctor but she said I would have to stop the fluoxetine first for a bit then start new one so I would be really low for a few weeks. I'm not sure if it's worth changing as could get similar side effects on new meds too. Has anyone changed from fluoxetine ? Would it be worth trying?

I haven't taken fluoxetine so can't comment but it may help changing.
