Title: Suspected bipolar

Hi all, Following two years on citalopram for anxiety, my moods have taken a darker turn this year. Since around January, I have experienced episodes of deep depression, suicidal thoughts that seem to come every 4 to5 weeks and last for about 5 days and then just lifts! Saw the gp last week who took me off citalopram and moved me on to venlaflaxin. I'm on a month trial, but struggling with mood swings and I'm not sure which of my thoughts are real and which are my illness talking. Does this sound familiar to anyone?
