Hi - my name is Jon
I've had chronic depression I think pretty much all my adult life but was only diagnosed 6 years ago.
Just recovering from a second major episode in the last 5 years. Both were triggered by relationship break-ups. But it seems that insomnia is my relapse indicator and I'm currently struggling with this issue.
On Venlafaxine which has helped and having CBT, quite helpful
To be fair, I have had excellent support (on the whole) from my employer, friends, family and health professionals, to whom I'm very grateful.
Frankly, depression has been a blight on my life but I don't want to focus on this unnecessarily. I'm here to make something positive out of my experience by sharing and offering support as well as seeking it.

Hi Jon!
I have suffered with depression since being a child!
I suffered a break down, back in 2001! Must admit it was hard to come back from! It is good that you employer understands! I got fired for being depressed!
I hope that you have all the support that you are looking for!

^&* to both of you. I have also suffered with depression for years which started in my early teens. Having support is half the battle.
