Hey can someone explain the star system around here...is it amount of posts?

i am a moderator on a different forum and the more posts you do, the more stars you get.... they change colours at different numbers of posts too :)

The stars are based on post counts,


Yellow stars = members
Blue stars = global members
Red stars = admin
