Hullo there. So I'm Mark and I have survived depression and anxiety and want to help others in any way I can.

Hi Mark
I have suffered depression. Now I'm watching my beloved partner go through it and it is very painful, and whilst I'm seeking perspective on that, I would also like to help others if I can. Nice to meet you. I am new too, this is a very supportive place and everyone is lovely. In fact, just having my lap top open on this forum even if there is no activity going on supports me.

Lol: Relationships take on awful battering from depression. The support needed for partners - even psychological support, perhaps - is not really understood, but they are the ones having to cope with an illness that many themselves have never experienced and don't understand. Having been there gives you empathy, but that also adds to the pain.
Eryguts: you will get better. It's not a race, work on it a little every day. I hope that doesn't sound pretentious.

Hi Mark
Lovely to hear that you are feeling better, I go up and down ( 20 + Years !! ) but find this forum really helps - just to get things out is good. My husband does not really understand, and communication about this illness / forum etc is difficult, it is easier to keep the peace.
Welcome ^&^

Mark thanks so much. It's awful. I'm a rescuer and I can't rescue her. I feel completely hopeless, helpless, angry and guilty.
