I was just wondering if anyone else found it hard for the concentration to get better? I have been on anti depressants for just over 4 weeks and am still struggling to concentrate. I am being phased back into work but not on phones. Just concerned because I still find I have moments that I end up zoning out basically and staring into space. Just hope my concentration goes back to normal soon I have so much I need to do.

Morning Debs... I think that is part of the whole depression thing, I've been on meds (that work) for months now and I'm still finding my concentration is affected. I love to write - and draw, but I cannot concentrate on anything long enough, like you I just zone out and could quite happily sit staring into space for ages! Its frustrating and I'm really really hoping it will pass eventually...

Hi Debs and Munchroom says its all part of the depression illness...............and it is so frustrating. I love to bake, and things that where second nature to me becomes like a mountain. Also sometimes I even find it hard to hold a conversation as my mind goes walk about :D

me too, to all of the above. its so awkward when it happens whilst having a conversation with someone, and when they have finished you ask sorry what was it you were saying.

I have that too. I hate it when my mind wanders during conversation. Just hope it soon goes back to normal. I want to basically get on with my life. Enjoy what I used to. I know I won't be any good on the phones until my concentration has improved. I keep trying to improve my concentration but i still find i zone out.

I have the same problem, it's so frustrating. It's usually at its worst when I'm at work which is a real pain. Luckily nobody has noticed yet, but I feel like a skiver and am scared that somebody is eventually going to notice that I'm not doing any work!
