No it does not sound stupid but I'm not sure if there is a link. It's an interesting question though

I can gain happiness and comfort from the weather e.g. feeling warm sunshine on my face, sat on my balcony, to being snuggled up indoors watching the snow or rainfall o/side, particularly after being caught o/side in such weather. This happened to me on 17th Dec when i just got home in time from the works Xmas do and the snow was falling heavily!

We are like animals, so we often crave warmth, comfort (yes hot nights are uncomfortable), peace, protection, solitude and quiet. But too much of the above may lead to boredom and loneliness, so we also need stimulation, interaction , challenges and relationships. The hard bit is getting the balance right and 'The grass is always greener'!

Hi Bubbles

I understand a lot of that too. For me, it's not the sunlight itself but how it affected the neighbours, keeping them up, sitting in the garden and chatting, with the music on loud. I found it really disturbing and irritating. I've moved away from there now so that is ONE problem defeated, unfortunately not the last though.

hi I have exactly the same problem I feel much worse when it is hot and nice weather outside. Might be because everyone else seems really happy and busy doing nice things when I feel the total opposite.x

I'm glad it's raining  - I hate the smell of burning pig fat (barbecues) and noisy neighbours playing crappy music. I'm sure that does not only apply to us depressed souls either  :)

Hi Bubbles,

Just to let you klnow you're not the only one who feels like that - I am also like that too and at the moment I can't stand to be out in the warm. I actually wear thick jumpers if I go out because I just hate it and it makes me feel really angry for no reason.
Can I ask if you are on any medication? You don't have to answer if you don't want to

T ~

I hate the heat too, especially if its humid with it.  Bright, cool,  sunny days are probably my favourite  :)
