My lil nephew, H, is only 3 years old and he's always struggled to pronounce my name. I've been "Auntie Amananana" since he started talking. H went over to Steve's parents today and apparently H compared Uncle Steve to the children's TV character, Dougie and I'm now, as of this afternoon, "Auntie Banana"!! :g19019:
As of now, my day has officially been made and it didn't cost anyone a penny!
This is just a glimpse of why toddlers have always been my favourite age group and it's times like this that I'm grateful for a difficult to pronounce name!

Children are amazing and have a natural ability to make your day.

They do indeed. I can't wait to see lil H next time to see if he says it to me in person! :excited:

My two nieces (my sister's children) always called me Auntie Pippa which was mutually aggreed but the youngest wanted to call me by my name so it came out Auntie Phi-ippa. She got there eventually but she sounded so cute.

Yep, same with H. I thought the extension to my name was cute but being given the name of a piece of fruit is just... brilliant! lol
